Zancada is an Android app that connects to a walking pad over Bluetooth and records your walks. This policy explains what it does with your information.

Zancada does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. The app has no internet permission at all, so nothing it stores can leave your phone.

What stays on your device only:

  • Walk history: duration, distance, steps and the estimated calories of each session, saved in a local database on your phone.
  • Body weight: the figure you enter in Settings. It is used only to estimate calories and is never sent anywhere.
  • Your treadmill's Bluetooth address: so the app can reconnect to the same pad.
  • App preferences: such as whether dynamic colour is enabled.

All of it lives in the app's private storage. Uninstalling Zancada deletes it.

Zancada requests BLUETOOTH_SCAN and BLUETOOTH_CONNECT to find and control your walking pad. The scan permission is declared neverForLocation: the app does not request or derive your location, and does not hold any location permission.

If you turn it on and grant permission, Zancada writes finished sessions to Health Connect: exercise, distance, steps and active calories. This is a write-only integration — the app requests no read permission and never reads your health data.

Health Connect is part of Android and stores those records on your device, under your control. You can review or revoke Zancada's access, and delete the records it wrote, from Health Connect's own settings at any time.

Calorie figures are an estimate calculated from your pace and the body weight you entered, because treadmills do not measure calories. They are labelled as an estimate in the app.

  • No accounts, no sign-up, no login.
  • No analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • No advertising identifier.
  • No servers: the app cannot reach the internet.
  • No data shared with any third party.

Zancada is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.
